How Can You Help?

Uniformed Leaders

New people are always needed to help in our Sections with the weekly meetings and programme of activities.

Please contact any of our leaders who will be able to advise you if you are interested in assisting.

If you don't want to wear the uniform, but still want to help every week then this is the role for you.

Please contact any of our leaders who will be able to advise you if you are interested in assisting.

If you or someone you know has a skill that could be used by the Group, then please let us know.

If you have a specialist skill or hobby that would be of interest to the children, - computers, photography cycling etc . Just let us know so that we could build something new into the programme.

You do not need to get involved regularly or with the children. There are many other roles for you.

Builders, electricians, plumbers, joiners. Our HQ is always in need of repair.

Whatever your skill or interest please let us know.

See any of our Leaders to find out more .

Did you know it costs about  thousands of pounds  a year to run the Group?  We have to raise all of the money ourselves. This is a challenge  in itself.

We constantly need new adults with new ideas to raise money in order to survive financially. We are always in need of parent representatives from each Section(Beavers, Cubs and Scouts) to help.

Contact our Group Chairman, Group Scout Leader or Section Leaders if you are willing to be a parent representative for your son/daughter’s Section.

To enable us to deliver a fun- packed  programme  to Young People in Scouting we rely on volunteers. With the exception of a few adults employed in HQ all adults in Scouting are volunteers who give their time to the Movement.

Volunteering at Scouts is massively rewarding and if you can spare the time both the other leaders and more importantly the young people will be incredibly grateful for your support.

A few hours of your time can make so much difference so …

What you can get out of volunteering

Volunteering in Scouting is fun and rewarding. You will have the chance to learn new skills, rediscover adventure, make new friends, spend more time with your child if they are a Scout and give something back to your community.
