Worcester District Scout St George's Day Parade - 26th April 2015
10 Beavers, 18 Cubs, 10 Scouts, 6 Leaders and 2 parents joined hundreds of others from Worcester District at the annual Worcester District Scouts St George's Day Parade on Sunday 26th April 2015.
The Parade marched from Angel Place to the Cathedral accompanied by the Sea Scout Band and the Boys Brigade Band. The Mayor of Worcester was present for the service conducted by Canon Dr Alvyn Petterson. The 5th Worcester Sea Scout Group provided the St George tableau which included two dragoons as well as a Dragon boat manned by Vikings throwing sweets.
The sun shone brightly on the parade and everyone had a great time. Quote from a Cub - "I thought it would be boring but it was great because there were so many people there and lots of people saw me even one of my teachers."
