Scout Headquarters Hire Charges
The 10th Worcester (Crown East) Scout Headquarters and/or grounds can be hired by Scout Groups from Worcester or other Districts for Scouting activities.
Other organisations may be able to hire our premises but conditions and charges will be on a case by case basis and will need to be agreed by the Group Executive Committee. Please contact us in plenty of time (at least 6 weeks before the event) with full details of your proposed event if you wish us to consider it.
Charges are as below. Full payment is due no later than 14 days after the first booked day.

Camping/Day Visitor Fees
Overnight fee (camp/sleepover) Per person, per night £2.50
Day visitor fee Per person, per day £1.00
Camp/Day Visitor Fees will allow access to toilets in the Headquarters but not the use of the hall, kitchen or training room.
We allow small ground fires. There is a fire circle for larger camp fires, and there is also a BBQ and altar fire. You are welcome to bring your own wood for fires
If you want to do shelter building as part of a survival skills evening or overnight camp please dismantle your shelters at the end of the visit. Also do not build shelters against the metal railing fence between us and the churchyard as it is not our fence and it is being damaged.
Building Fees Use of Headquarters building (other than access to toilets)
Day rate (< 8 hours) £25
First 24hrs or overnight £40
Each extra 24hrs or overnight £30
Hour Hire rate £10 per hour
Plus camp/visitor fees as above
The Headquarters has two toilets, one with a shower. The kitchen has a fridge, freezer, double oven
Examples
Evening backwoods cooking, no HQ - 20 Scouts, 2 Leaders - 22 X £1.00 = £22
1hr activity in HQ - 15 Beavers, 4 Leaders - 19 X £1.00 + £10 = £29
6hr multi activity with HQ - 20 Cubs, 4 Leaders - 24 X £1.00 + £25 = £49
Sleepover in HQ - 15 Cubs, 3 Leaders - 18 x £2.50 + £40 = £85
To Book Email HQ Booking Enquiries (email address link below) to check the availability for the dates you want. Include in your email your Group, Section and number of Young People and Leaders you are expecting.
We will respond with whether it is available and the fee. Please allow 14 days for us to respond as we may be busy Scouting. If you want to make a firm booking send the minimum fee of £20 as a deposit to the address included in the email.
The £20 deposit is non-refundable in the event of a no-show. Full payment is due no later than 14 days after the booked date.
